  Day 1. ARRIVAL/ Lima
Journey to Enigmatic Peru

Upon arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Our representative will give you a documentation kit with detailed program explanation. Luggage and hotel registration assistance is offered.

  Day 2. Lima/ City Tour

Morning at leisure.

Afternoon will be the City tour. This three-hour sightseeing tour offers the best of Colonial and modern Lima. Included are Lima´s most imposing colonial churches and mansions such as the Goverment Palace, The plaza Mayor, The City Hall and the Cathedral including the 17th Century San Francisco Monastery. The tour ends with a visit to the modern suburbs of San Isidro with olives brought from spain in the XVI century, the pre-inca worshipper of Huallamarca and Pucllana, Miraflores Parque Central and Larco Mar, symbol of a modern Lima.

After that you will visit the Gold Museum, the most important museums of the higher cultures of this part of the world are located in Lima. There is also invaluable goldsmithing jewelry. 500 years ago peruvian gold attracted European adventurers and this caused the Inca Empire´s collapse and the Viceroyship of Peru took place as a Spain colony.

Furthermore, this museum exhibits valuable pre-inca textiles.

  Day 3. Lima/Arequipa

Upon arrival reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Three hour tour of the city, including Santa Catalina Convent, the Plaza de Armas, the Jesuit church of La Compañia and its beautifully-painted chapel, and the typical districts of Cayma and Yanahuara for a magnificent view of the Misti volcano.

  Day 4. Arequipa/Juliaca

Early transfer to Arequipa airport to board your flight to Juliaca (Puno airport)

On arrival, reception and trasfer to your hotel. On the way, we will visit Sillustani Ruins, pre inca tombs built in tower-like structures overlooking the Umayo Lagoon, a minor lagoon near Titicaca Lake.

  Day 5. Juliaca/ Uros Island

Morning boat ride to Uros Island knowing as floating island, , also called Lake Town.

These islands are built using totora reed and are used as home and trade centers for the natives, who use hand-made boats of the same material as their means of transportation

  Day 6. Puno/ Cusco

“Andean Explorer” - Train Puno / Cusco or vice versa

Make a spectacular optional train ride, starting in the Wanchaq station in Cusco and travel along the South Valley to Puno. The smooth ascending is amazing. The magnificent Andes will predominate the first half of the trip, skirting the deep valleys where the Huatanay River crosses. Later, it travels into the highlands, where you can see some Andean cameloids. Travel comfortably in your seat, thanks to the trolleys which make you easily observe the view of the beautiful landscapes along the trip. Lunch on board. Make a stop in La Raya to get a wider scenic view from the highest point of the trip (4,319 meters above sea level)

“First Class”- Bus Puno/ Cusco

We will leave from the station to start our trip by bus to Cusco, stop at La Raya, highest point on the road between Cusco and Puno, from where we will get excellent photo opportunities.

We will continue with a visit to the Racchi ruins, known as “The Temple of God Wiracocha”. We will have lunch en route.

We will visit Andahuaylillas, a town where a precious church from the 17th century boasts an amazing organ decorated with angels and cherubs so you can enjoy the wonderful scenery of the South Valley of Cusco.

The arrival to Cusco is in the afternoon and then, you will be taken to your hotel.

  Day 7. Cusco/ City tour and nearby ruins

Morning at leisure.

In the afternoon, we will visit the City and nearby ruins, living example of the mixture of the Andean and Spanish cultures. We start our trip visiting the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Koricancha, and ancient Inca palace and main worship center of the Sun God. Later, we will stop at the Main Square, where you can find the Cathedral and the beautiful Church of La Compañía. Going on with the tour, we will visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, imposing sample of military Inca architecture which domains the city.

Finally, we will take a look at the archaeological sites of Qenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, located north east of the city. As a suggestion to mysticism and esoterism lovers, the Sacsayhuaman Complex is an excellent spot to hold meditation sessions.

Dinner and folk show at a local restaurant.

Overnight in Cusco.

  Day 8. Cusco/ Machu Pichu/ Cusco

You will visit one of the most important energetic centers of the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion will be by train and during the trip we will have an amazing view of the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of Urubamba.

Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, our representatives will assist you to board the bus which will take you to the citadel. It will be an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will transmit us the history around this mysterious and charming place.

After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the zone on your own, relax and meditate. Lunch included.

In the afternoon, you will board the train that will take you back to Cusco. On arrival, our collaborators will be waiting at Poroy Station, from where we will transfer you to the hotel. This will save you around 40 minutes, so you can relax and then enjoy Cusco’s nightlife.

  Day 9. Cusco/ Urubamba Valley/ Cusco

We will drive towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac.

We will stop on the way to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley, with crops dressing the mountains like carpets. We will arrive to the colorful market of Pisac, where we will have free time to interact with the local craftsmen, or to purchase their hand-made souvenirs.

We will continue to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch.

Finally, we will visit Ollantaytambo, attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets. In its high part one rises to an impressive ceremonial center of cult to the water and a fortress that guarded the access to the inferior part of the valley.

  Day 10. Cusco/ Puerto Maldonado

At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, reception by our representatives and transfer to the river port for your departure by motor canoe to the selected lodge. If it is required, there will be a stop in the way for last-minute shopping of basic utensils. In the afternoon, arrival to the lodge and accommodation. All possible activities will be indicated by our tour guide: nature walks and canoe excursions for birdwatching and ecology. Overnight in the selected lodge.

Included meals: lunch and dinner.

  Day 11. Tambopata

All possible activities will be indicated by the tour guide: Southeastern Peruvian rainforest is one of the wild, untamed, uninhabited hotspots of the planet. Overnight in the selected lodge.

Included meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  Day 12. Puerto Maldonado/ Lima

Puerto Maldonado - Lima by plane.

Rest until departure time. If you wish, it is possible to coordinate with your tour guide for an optional activity. We highly recommend birdwatching from a natural or artificial viewing spot. At the scheduled time, return by motor canoe to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport to take your flight to Lima.

  Day 13. Lima/ Ica-Overflight Nazca Lines

 

Early departure by bus to Ica (4 hrs. aprox.) Upon arrival, we will be assisted with the check-in and accommodation at the hotel. Then, we will then be taken to the local airport to take a light aircraft and enjoy an overflight over the Nasca Lines. There, you will spot various figures drawn on the sandy soil, representing animals and stylized plants, distributed in a huge labyrinth of lines, trapezes, triangles and hairsprings recorded over the land and preserved for almost 2000 years, according to the specialists. The rest of the day is free to rest enjoying the hotel facilities; make an optional city tour, dune buggy ride or sandboarding.

  Day 14. Ica/ Paracas/ Lima

In the morning, transfer to the Paracas Bay, where our two-hour motorboat excursion to the Ballestas Islands will begin. These beautiful islands, located in front of the Paracas National Reserve, are the biggest natural sanctuary in our shores and are home to thousands of migratory birds, which share their habitat with huge groups of sea lions and fur seals. During the excursion, you will find a mysterious design over the hill, called “El Candelabro” (The Chandelier). According to the legend, it was a reference for pirates that indicated the spot where their treasures were hidden. Others say that it was the sign for the independence army to disembark, guided by General Don José de San Martin. At the scheduled time, we will take the bus to Lima.

  Day 15. Lima/ DEPARTURE

Transfer to the airport for departure flight.
